The Burien Elk’s 2143 has held its Hoop Shoot contest on Dec 2nd at Lafeyette Elementary School. This is the first time Burien Elk’s 2143 has been involved in the Hoop Shoot since before covid, and it looks to build a stronger participation in the local district and schools promoting the Hoop Shoot to the 8–13-year-old children in are area in the future. There were two girls, Candence Brunet and Hazel Director who stood out in the competition. With Cadence Brunet winning the Girls 13-year-old spot and advancing her to district on Jan 27th . This event was supported by not only the Burien Elk’s 2143 and Lafayette Elementary School who allowed us to use the gym, but also the ten volunteers who took the time to participate.
